Installed it a few weeks ago, no problems whatsoever, Microsoft quotes
it will not take up any more HD space than DX7.

I have about 30 Commercial games installed on this computer (my son is
an avid gamesplayer) and every one runs OK with DX8 installed.

Our overall impression is that the graphics and sound, might just be a
fraction sharper and crisper.

Running a 3D Mark test, gives me a 0.2 higher score (with DX8), but this
is not exactly conclusive.

Install with caution, it is still eary days, no doubt an update will
appear in a month or two.
