I have Outlook Express but have always been afraid to use it for
mail. Seems to me a lot of hackers sending virus
email have done a lot of work on how to get into Outlook. I use Eudora
but I don't like it because it's to slow opening etc. Anybody got another
email program for a home computer that you are totally sold on?
On another topic-
I can't see any reason for anti-virus software to run all the time. I
don't like McAffee and use Norton but it still affects other programs and
uses more of my system resources than I care to let it have. I think I
should really only need an antivirus software to run if I'm opening
attachments in email or on programs downloaded from the Web. In 6 years
I've had one virus (Chernoble) and that was after not running an anti-virus
program at all for about 6 months.
But now I'm worried about scripts in email. Can a script with a virus
be put in a plain text email or email with html?
