Demetri,
Trust me, your problem is a bad memory chip. Windows will crash when you must use the
address(es) with bad CRC, so it may appear that after tightening a chip/card everything
goes Ok when it is only that you are not using the bad addresses after rebooting. When
-later- you must use more memory for additional applications, the problem pops up.
As far as I understand, most memories are currently sold under life-time guarantee, so
perhaps your best choice is to replace the memory chip.

My problem started when one of my two DIMM memory banks loosened.
Tightening connection restored memory count. After several tries, I
succeeded in reinstalling Windows and restoring operation, but lost
operation again when I attempted to alter CPU clock and bus speed
according to Qian's post. Question is, is problem "bad memory chip", or
problem due to memory bank loosening and having to be retightened? If the
latter, what now?
When I restored operation I inserted autoexec.bat and config.sys commands
specified at No-Spin site. These did not help.
