Dennis Noble in his reply had written:

     For an .asp file, just as for any other "unknown" file type, go to
My Computer / Folder Options / File Types. You will see ASP (Active
Server Document) there. Now click on EDIT, and again on EDIT . Then
under action type OPEN, and for APPLICATION TO PERFORM ACTION, browse to
I.E. or Netscape as you wish. Then go on clicking on CLOSE.
>From then on all ASP files will open with the Program you chose.
