You may have a box checked which you must uncheck; right click on your
Explorer icon and on that menu, click advanced tab and under multimedia
uncheck show image placeholders and that should do it! Joseph Rydzy

Instead, where the picture should be,a small box appears in the top left
corner of the frame.  I'm connecting using DSL and everything comes up fast.
