To change program permissions on Zone Alarm, double click the system try
icon to bring up the user interface.
Select the "Program Control" tab on the side.
Select "Programs" tab on top.

Locate the program you want to change permissions for, and click in the
column you want to change.  A choice will pop up and let you change to
allow, deny or ask.
Set this for each of the 4 columns, as you like.

I find it to be slightly easier to simply find the program as above, then
right-click the program and choose remove.  The next time you try to run
it, Zone Alarm will pop up the alert dialog, and you can then set the
permissions as usual.  Matter of preference.
