You can change the sound for an event simply by using the SOUND ICON
in the CONTROL PANEL. But that is not what David is asking.

David wants to get rid of the EVENT not change the sound.
So, in a round about way, Ben has given David a tip on
where to go to fix his problem.

What David needs to do, is use the REGEDIT program to
go to the area that Ben speaks of, BUT David should
then delete the EVENT that is associated with the
deleted programs.

The registry key for this HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents. The entry will be in
the "Eventlabels" or "schemes" subkey. This is the English version I'm
looking at. It's really pretty easy to add and remove specific sounds for
applications.
