For what it's worth: I recently purchased a new computer with the AMD chip, Win98, and downloaded and installed Netscape 4.61--I don't seem to be having any such problems.

Problem turned out to be his original memory module, which was ultimately replaced, but only after I had reinstalled all of his software and gone through numerous driver changes/upgrades for what I thought might be offending hardware (like the AGP video). I, of course, received the same operational difficulties until the memory was replaced.

Presto, the system worked perfectly . . . with one exception (there's always a catch, isn't there). In testing/troubleshooting the original rebuilt system, I downloaded the new 4.61 Netscape. The program worked fine for three days after reformat and reinstall. Now Netscape, and only Netscape, is having illegal operation errors in kernl32.dll. Any ideas if there is some kind of bug with Netscape 4.61 and Win98? This client has had so many problems with this system that I would really like to get this straightened out and working perfectly for him. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
