Bob Weil & Chris Baron wrote a book, Drag 'N' Drop CGI, (includes a CD-ROM
with "ready to use" scripts). The book has a chapter for perl-based web
site search engine - works pretty well. The book is aimed at the beginner,
is easy to read (and really isn't dry), has plenty of hints and is well
worth the $. Also has web site references. There are also tons of scripts
on the web.
