I did a clean install of Windows XP Home on a new hard drive in an IBM Thinkpad. The install went fine recognizing all of the hardware. There is one strange happening though. When I boot the machine, I get a message "Please select operating system to start:". The options are "Windows XP Home" or "Windows". It is like a dual boot system. Why am I getting this message? There is only one partition on the drive.
