I recently did a windows update from the "Microsoft" web site as Microsoft
keeps telling me to do so. Now every time I start up my computer (ME), my
phone dialer fires up and calls my provider. If I hit cancel, it will stop,
but will retry it in about 2 minutes. Usually, after canceling it the second
time the problem does not return until the next start up. Has anybody come
across this before and know of a solution for it? I checked in my
"programs\startup" file and nothing appears there that would cause the problem.

TIA
