ALL computer-based fax-receive programs create a custom
GRAPHIC image. The received fax is not text but a picture.
You need to use an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) program
that is compatible with the fax program. This OCR program will
"read" the picture and convert it to text. Actually what it does
is "see" the dark and light sections of the picture and attempts to
convert the dark areas into individual letters. *** notice my
deliberate use of the word ATTEMPTS in the previous sentence ***
Depending on the OCR program, it may be able to save the text
as a Word DOC or you may save it as a TXT file and then import it
into Word.
