I recently installed NortonSystemWorks2001 and it found the W32.HLLW.Bymer
virus in my system. I have followed steps to quarantine the file but now I
cannot access my registry to make the changes needed there. I keep getting
the message that the registry editing has been disabled by administrator. I
found what I thought was the answer on www.expertcity.com. I was directed to
www.pchell.com/virus/wininit.shtml to download the fix for this problem.
However, I need to get into my registry and I can't. What do I have to do to
be able to get into my registry? I have since updated my virus definitions &
scan my system with no viruses found. But I need to get into the registry to
check to make sure and my pc won't let me in. What can I do to resolve this?
Thanx.

I'm not sure if the info that you found at pchell.com/virus relates to the
W32.HLLW.Bymer that was detected on your system. The info at the site
corresponds to the Bymer trojan program, however, W32.HLLW.Bymer is not a
virus nor is it a trojan, it is a worm. Try here for a possible solution:
