Hi Rick,
What do you mean by "old" WinZip encrypted files?
I know that WinZip has a new file extension: "zipx" for advanced compression.
Are you saying it will open ALL WinZip 256-bit AES-encrypted files, but NOT "zipx" files, or that it will open only WinZip 256-bit AES-encrypted files created before a certain date?
Thanks,
Anna

SecureZipExpress from PKware.
<http://www.pkware.com/software-data-security/free>
It is about 13m, totally free for home use, and opens my old
WinZip 256bit AES encrypted archives as if it made them itself.
Disclaimer: I had to apply for a D/L link with my e-mail address.
(A small price to pay since I have many of those...)
