Hi Bob,
Yes I understand your predicament.
I'm afraid I'll have to refer you to my earlier suggestions
Use the helper for Windows Media Player
http://www.mediastore.com/software/
Media Store Play FLV-utility that allows your Windows Media Player to
play all .flv files. link in article
I can't try if this works since I dumped WMP a while ago.
Failing that, I would suggest you encourage the members or colleagues to
download one of the flv players I suggested.
Because of the restrictions (dial-up) there is no point converting flv
files to another format - it will only increase file size,
without any gain.
I have an updated "mega"list of free FLV players which I will send to
you privately.
If any one else is interested I will post the list on PCSOFT.
The only time I would suggest converting (to mpeg format) is if you
wanted to burn the files to CD/DVD AND want to play them on a CD/DVD
player.

hello again.thanks for your patience.as a lot of people we post to are
still on dialup [alas we are in new zealand] we try to keep the clip
size down to around 3 or 4 mb.so we shrink the larger clips using the
wins movie maker.as alot of people do not have an flv player installed
-despite us encouraging this,we convert the flv files to wmv,as
everybody has wins media player.so, this conversion is not liked by wins
movie maker,so they can't be shrunk to about 3 or 4 mb's.if you can
assist again,we will be grateful.regards bob.
