Have you tried going to "File", and then select "Work Offline" then closing the Dial Up Connection block?

I can't get the Dial up connection off of my screen. I have to comletly shut down my commuter to get it off. There are times I want to be on my computer and not be hooked to the internet but this little box insists that I hook up and won't go away. Can you help me? [log in to unmask]
