IF you saved all the right files, not to worry - it/they can be restored...

Short version. You have to re-create the folder structure of
OE manually AND from INSIDE the OE interface -- and put at
least one message in each folder before you try to put the
back-up files in their proper place, (overwriting the new ones).

In a similar way, you need to tell OE to go and find the address book
file and use it. It is better if you put it in the place it already expects
to find it. (Your personal default location.)

Like I said, this is the short version. There are whole WEB sites
written on this subject...

Unable to save emails/any data in OE. I was preparing to
restore the computer and backing up onto CD disc. I backed
up OE onto a CD but after restoring the data was gone in-
cluding emails, addresses, etc. This has happened before.
Anything else is easily backed up and restored but not OE.
My wife was angry because we lost emails and addresses.
Need help. Thank you.
