  I had Win 98 SE and just installed Windows ME right over it.  No problems
at all.

I was also using Win98 SE and installed ME over it, and although it seemed
ok, I found that installing ME clean made my system more stable. I don't get
anymore of those Stack Overflow errors and I never crash.
