My problem: I can't change my desktop wallpaper permanently.

I can set it to any of my .bmp files, but when I reboot, the same
old .bmp file is used for the wallpaper.

In advance of any responses: Yes, I use the software that came
with Win95. I right click on the desktop. Click on PROPERTIES.
Select a file for wallpaper. Click on APPLY. Click on OK. The new
wallpaper is nicely displayed... until the system is rebooted, then
it displays the same wallpaper.

The only method I've found is to change the name of the old
wallpaper. Then I can select a new wallpaper, which gives me
the same problems.

Thanks for any help or directions
