Larry

If you do it this way you can take the Address Book with you to any PC
with OE.

To Copy Outlook Express Address Book create a batch file to make a floppy
disk back-up copy of the Outlook Express Address Book.

1. Run Notepad and enter the following as shown below.

@echo off
echo *** Insert the backup floppy into Drive A ***
pause
copy "c:\windows\application data\microsoft\address book\*.wab" a:

2. Then choose File, Save as c:\address.bat and close notepad.

4. Run Explorer, locate the new batch file. Right-click its icon and
choose Properties, click the Program tab. Select the check box labeled
"Close on exit" and then click OK to close the dialog box and save your
changes.

5. Once you've created the batch file, insert a formatted floppy into
Drive A. Double-click on its icon to start the backup procedure.

(I put my icon on the < START MENU > taskbar for ease of use)

( TIP 2 )

To add a sender's e-mail address to the Address Book, open Outlook
Express and locate a message. Open the message (double-click its icon)
and then right-click the sender's name and choose Add to Address Book.
You'll have the address available for use at any time.
