(No, this is not one of "those" messages).
This is a link to Microsoft's Technet site. A very bad security hole has
been found in Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6.0 and this will give you the
information about the problem and the link to fix it. (Partial text of the
bulletin is attached below). You may verify your version by opening
Internet Explorer and clicking "Help" on the toolbar followed by "About
Internet Explorer."
99% of the time dire warnings are false, but since I've read this
personally on Microsoft's own site and it is far more serious than most
(they describe it as "critical") it seems like something that should be
installed immediately for your protection.

How to Download and Install Select your language from the drop-down list
above and click GO. Click the Security Update link to begin the download.
Choose Run this program from its current location and click OK, (in
Internet Explorer 6, click Open). Click Yes if asked whether you would like
to install and run Q313675.exe. Click Yes to begin the installation process.
