I know what you mean ... I had the same experience.

All I can say is that it is a "glitch" in ie6 and perhaps you should report
it to MSN. So far it has not been a concern to me.

You might want to invest in a utility such as "Window Washer" ...

go to: http://www.webroot.com/washer.htm

and from there you will find info on what it does. I have version 3.3 and it
is great! Takes care of all history "tracks". Use the free plugins to clean
NeoPlanet and Opera etc etc. and automates the cleaning of your Internet
files!

there that might interest you.
