Subject: Re: [PCSOFT] Can OE Access Hotmail

I'm using Outlook Express and have an e-mail account with a local cable
modem ISP. I also have a Hotmail e-mail account. Is there any way to setup
OE so it will check my Hotmail account also?

Yes there is. Open your OE, go to Tools/Accounts. When you see the Internet
Accounts window the Mail tab should already be selected, if not, select it.
Click the Add button and then select Mail. This will take you to the
Internet Connection Wizard window and you should see a name highlighted,
click next. You will now get to a window which gives you two choices, the
first is to use an already existing account, which is the option you want.
Next window will ask you to choose the mail server type. Most likely it will
be showing POP, you need HTTP, and you will find it by clicking on the
little down arrow. Then you choose your HTTP mail provider, Hotmail, you
won't have many other choices listed anyway. From here all you will need to
do is enter your Hotmail address and password. Keep in mind that when OE
tries to fetch mail from Hotmail it doesn't always work. You may sometimes
see a message "Cannot download Headers", or something like that.
