You must have inserted a date FIELD in your document. This field reflects
the date current at time of viewing or printing. What you want is to insert
the text for the date. This can be done from the menu bar by selecting
Insert/Date.

When I open a letter I have saved usign Microsoft Word, it changes the date
on the letter. I want to keep the original date that I typed on the letter.
How can I fix this?
