At least one version of Netscape Communicator 4 (4.02? 4.03?) would
sometimes have trouble and lock up when it encountered a java-enabled
web page that required the Java Virtual Machine to start up. If memory
serves correctly, version 4.04 (and later) fixed this. I've since
upgraded to version 4.5, which seems to be very stable. Is your client
perhaps using an older version of NC 4?
