You might try searching for .dbx files - that's what OE uses - I forget what Outlook uses.

My PC power supply literally went up in smoke, and I decided to replace the
PC with a new one and transfer my files to it from my old hard disk. I found
all my documents except for my Outlook email. When I did a search for a
recent file with a .pst extension, I couldn't find anything on the old hard
disk. Is there some other extension besides .pst where all my old email
could be stored? There was a whole lot of stuff there before the crash.
