This usually means that an uninstalled program has left a remnant behind in
the startup list, so the computer is looking for a non-existent file on
startup. Or else he has deleted the program folder with all its contents
instead of properly uninstalling the program.

To eliminate the problem, hit the windows key+r which will bring up the
"Run" box (or Start/Run if you prefer), type msconfig and hit Enter. When
you get the Msconfig window, click on the startup tab at the top right.
This will show you the list of programs Windows tries to start every time
it boots. Your problem one should show in that list. Untick it, click OK
and exit. While you're there, untick anything else that may be redundant.
Many programs insert themselves to run at startup when they're not needed
all the time. This not only slows your computer down, like driving your
car with a bootful of lead, but is much more likely to result in possible
conflicts and instability.

Keeping a computer lean and mean pays dividends in performance and stability.

Reboot and the problem should be gone. You'll get a reminder that you've
used Msconfig to change something, just click OK and you won't see it again.
