I have had good results with a program called Bounce Spam Mail from Ziff-Davis.   I just checked a list of their programs for spam mail and noticed the top rated one named Spam Buster v.1.8.  It filters out the undesirable mail but seems to require some setting up.  I suspect some danger of filtering out more than one wants.  I have never used it.   To get to the downlod lists use the URL   http://www.zdnet.com
Click on "free downloads"  then in the search box type "spam".   You get a list of anti-spam programs.  Click on any that you want and they will download them.  It is quite a hassle but that seems to be what we have to live with.
