Hi Rob,

In XP pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del brings up TaskManager (as most of us know :)
Is TaskManager still available via Ctrl-Shift-Esc ?
Or via r-click Taskbar > Taskmanager?

If so the keyboard may be faulty. If not, there is the possibility of a
virus infection.Let's hope it's the former.Try a temp replacement.

Can you still access Regedit? If not,it almost confirms the presence of
a virus. It seems that a certain virus disables these functions - at
least that's what I found looking for a solution.

No idea about what relates to the disappearance of this function.

Any ideas how to recover?

Rob
