Windows 2000 (NT 5) is the upgrade for Windows NT 4. The NT operating system
is more stable than any of the other Windows OSs 95/98/98SE/ME. One of the
reasons for this is that it does a much better job of managing memory than
the others do. The only thing about Win2000(NT) is that not all software and
hardware devices are compatible with it, so programs and hardware devices
that you are using under a Windows 98 platform may have problems working
properly under the NT/2000 platform.
