I transferred a tape to DVD this way, but my friend's DVD player can't read the DVD- disk.
What's the latest on +/- compatibility issues: computer read/write, player read, standalone DVD recorder read/write?
And why can't they settle on a standard?

Note: More than likely the machine will not copy tapes that are copy-protected.
