Hello Laurence,
The problem appears to be a "popup" stopper program your daughter uses.
Those links that appear in the two right columns you refer to open in a new
(separate) window and the popup stopper / killer is seeing them as popups
and preventing them from opening. The popup stopper should have a means to
bypass it's function if you want to see a particular one. With some, it's by
holding the "Ctrl" key down while clicking the link at the same time. Have
your daughter read the popup stopper's "Help" file and it should tell her
how to bypass it.
Hope this helps...

Subject: [PCSOFT] Can't open search result HTML page
PCSOFT Digest - 21 Apr 2004 to 22 Apr 2004 (#2004-114)my daughter's computer
(OS XP - IE 6.0.28 ) doesn't seem to open an HTML page like the one below
anymore:
http://130.192.4.46/ALEPH/JDGBGTG6N5Y8XUHMRLTMBSLTVJ6TCQQHEA9J8G1XM12CUL8UFP
-03598/item-global?P01=PTO01&P02=000242644&P03=&P04=&P05=BCI
the page comes from a search in a library catalogue page:
http://opacbiblio.polito.it/ALEPH/-/start/libw (for instance put "rivoli" in
first window "titolo").
she can't open the links that then appear in the 2 right columns of the
results page "bib/copie" and "collocazioni".
it's something that happens on other library sites too.
should she change some settings? she has a cable connexion.
thanks for any suggestions,
laurence grignolo
