Not sure if this is good news for you or not particularly now that you don't
have your replaced HDD - or do you?

I've never had any problem with the address book as long as I exported it as
a TEXT file. Then imported it from that same format. I've like you, not had
any luck with trying to import from a saved WAB file which MS implies is the
way to do it.
