Hi Toomas,

I agree, an Ethernet crossover cable would be faster and better all around.
However, in this situation, it's unlikely the Win 98SE machine has the
capability. A LAN wouldn't be practical either unless it's already set up or
if plans are to use it anyway. If the only intent is a one time transfer of
files and setting (the question was only about e-mail), using the direct
connection with the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard would be less
painless.

There is also a USB counterpart for this purpose available at most computer
stores and places like BestBuy and CompUSA (In the USA) and probably at
similar retail outlets in Estonia.
