Hi Jim,
Unless you need to call MS a lot or at all, definately go for the OEM. I run
XP Pro OEM, and any issues I have ever had I get answered on the PC lists or
the MS Knowledge Base. These days most manuals aren't worth much so hardly
worth 90 bucks.

I am going to get Win XP Home. However, I am trying to decide between the
Retail or OEM versions. The best prices I've seen are-
Retail--$170.00
OEM---$ 85.00
The only diferrences that I find are the manual and the technical support
from Microsoft (don't know what that is worth) in the retail version.
I'm sure if needed, a manual can be bought for $15 to $20 ( ---- for
Dummies or something.).
I would appreciate hearing from someone who has gone through this.
Also, for a home computer person not interested in networking or anything
like that, is the XP PRO a better value then the XP Home.
Thank you in advance.
