I, too, have been through this.  However, I was successful.
Setup:
Mac G3-400 running OSX 10.3 on a wireless network.
PC  Windows XP Sp1 connected to an Epson Stylus Color 777.

I went to the following page and received instructions on exactly how to
make it work.  Granted, it did take some time "fiddling" but, in
reality, the instructions are pretty accurate (they actually apply to
OSX 10.2 but worked for me with 10.3)
