I don't know any way other than reinstalling Nestscape. What's the problem
with reinstalling it over the top? Should only take a few seconds (provided
you have its setup file).

You won't lose any settings or data.

If that doesn't fix it, you may have to uninstall and reinstall it, in
which case you will have to backup all settings and data. I can understand
your concern in that case, but it is probably the only way to fix the
problem if plan 1 doesn't work.

I'm assuming, of course, that there are websites to go Back and Forward to.
If you are browsing with links opening in separate windows, these buttons
will be greyed out if there is no previous site for that window to return
to. Make sure there's no option set to open links in new windows---or that
you haven't installed a browser add-on for browsing in tabbed windows, such
as MyIE for IE. One can easily overlook the obvious
(the obvious is never obvious until someone tells you).

It's a long shot, but a registry restore might fix the problem. That's not
very logical, but registry restores can sometimes do magic things. Always
worth trying, as it's a simple process (depending on how you've done your
registry backups, if any).

Otherwise you can always fall back on XP's System Restore as a last resort.
