Good Morning,

A customer called me this morning, saying that every time he
clicks on the shortcut to MS Dos, his computer goes to a black
screen, and then runs scandisk because it was improperly shut
down. The same thing happens when he is trying to run a DOS game.
He is running Windows 95 on a recently rebuilt computer with
400MHz PII & 128mb RAM.
I made sure the shortcut was pointing to command.com, then had
him look in his Windows folder, and double click directly on
command.com. The results were the same.
I then had him extract a new copy of command.com from the win95
cab file, but this didn't fix the problem either.
He can, however, go to shut down, and restart in MS DOS mode.

        Any ideas???
