I know that I should apply scanedit /restore in DOS when I get a crash that
corrupts the registry.
Here and there, may be once in three days when I try to close my computer ,
it stops at Win 98 banner and does not close. So I close it from power bar.
Next time I start it, scandisk automatically is launched. Is this enough to
fix the registry  or do I have to restore the registry before the incident
of non closure.

When one should apply scanedit /restore or scandisk, Plz advise
