Hi All,
A friend who installed IE 4.01 over IE 3.0, which I had
done previously without any problem, is beset with a ghostly
gray square measuring 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 toward the top middle of
her desktop screen, which disappears once a program is
initialized.
Also, there is a gray line forming an outline of the
same size square that connects to the gray square.
In addition, there is a small "gray to black"
non-descript icon at the left side which, when clicked on,
brings up a list of channels(??).
These ghosts do not interfere with any of the icons, but
they certainly are a nuisense.
Is anyone familiar with this odd occurrence?
Short of possibly re-installing IE 4.01, does anyone
have any knowledge of how these ghosts might be removed from
the desktop?
