She can get a totally free internet access AND email account from
www.netzero.com which gives her full and complete access to surf the
internet. They have special software (which must be used) that logs you
in to their home web site and it puts a banner ad on your screen while you
are on-line... BUT... you can use any web browser, and you can surf the
net wherever you want.... for as long as you want (so far).

To access that account she would need a PC with Windows 95 (or higher), a
28.8 (or higher) modem, and either Netscape 3.x (or higher) --=OR=-- MSIE
4.x (or higher) plus any email software package (Outlook, Eudora, Pegasus,
etc).

The only catch (as I said) is that they will put a banner ad (the typical
size that you see on most web sites) on your screen AND -for my area at
least- it is very hard to get on line, lots of busy signals. But hey, it
IS free......
