To pause the screen display for a listing of files etc. use the "More"
command preceded by the vertical bar (generally found as the upper case of
the backslash key). For example,

Dir c:\windows | More will pause after each screen is filled with the line
"-------- More -------------" and the user just has to hit any key to
continue with the next screen, etc., until the end of the listing is
reached. If you've seen enough, press the break key <Ctrl><C>.'
