I hope this is the right forum for this question - as IE 5.0 is software, I hope I will be able to get an answer to this mystifying problem.

Sometimes, (only sometimes) when I click either of the history, favorites or search icons on the menu bar, the box opens on the left side of my screen for me to continue to do whatever I want from there. Sometimes it will "slide" back to the left margin out of view. I like this feature very much, but it seems inconsistent. Is there a way to change an option, maybe, to make it happen regularly? Is there a mouse placement (>60% of the right side screen) on the right side window that activates this feature? I have checked IE newsgroups and of course MS Knowledge Base but I just don't find anything.

Your kind assistance is always appreciated.
