I use it at work. There are a great many features that make it worthwhile for me, like the tabbed windows and the pseudo-commandline interface for searches (type: "g hello" in the URL bar will search Google for "hello"). I also like how you can highlight a word and pick a search engine on which to search. So, for instance, you can highlight an ISBN # and search Amazon.com.

Well, Active X spoils you with its ease-of-installation. If you've never dealt with Netscape-style plug-ins, complete with icky MIME types and all that, then you're in for a bumpy ride. Some plug-ins will install easily, like Flash, others will fight you every step of the way and installation instructions may be hard to find because so much of the world is Active-X-Aware.
Still, for that, I really like Opera. It's VERY fast at rendering pages, by the way.
