How can I get text to  flow  without wraping?

I have a watermark inserted in my document, and I want the text to flow
through without wrapping. It seems that the default is for the text to wrap
at the botton of the installed graphic. Under the Image Control none of the
available options for wrappjing are higlighted and therefore cannot be used.
It is the same with the Drawing Tool Bar.
