The Custom Dictionary is one that you create. You can add words that you frequently use that would not be found in an ordinary dictionary. Proper names can also be added. Once you add an entry to the custom dictionary, your spell check will quit hi-lighting it.

When running spell check, if you right click on the mispelled word, one of the options will be "ADD" ....clicking this will put the word in your custom dictionary.

  Listeners,
If I do an automatic spell check when I create new mail using Outlook Express, a "Custom.dic" file icon appears on my desktop. The file is empty. I am running MS 98 SE. Any ideas.
