Re: Word V6 Crossword grids
You can insert a table, specifying 31 columns and 56 rows. Select all the
columns and specify a width of .19" (you won't need to adjust row height if
you adjust the column width). Select single cells and format the shading
to black for boxes. Unfortunately, there is a limitation of 31 columns in
Word. In Page Setup specify .5" top, bottom, left, and right. It would be
much easier if you could do it in Excel. The following is extracted from
Dummies Daily just in case you have Excel.
Again, you would need to format the cells you want to darken.
1. Press Ctrl + A to select the entire worksheet.
2. Choose Format + Row + Height.
3. Set Height to 12 and click OK.
4. Choose Format + Column + Width.
5. Set column width to 1.43 and click OK.
6. Select cells A:1 through AS:58 (45 columns by 58 rows).
7. Choose File + Page Setup.
8. In the Page Setup dialog box, click the Margins tab and set all
margins (Left, Right, Top, and Bottom) to .5 inch; then under Center
on Page, select both Horizontally and Vertically.
