Jim,

To recap:  Using Word97, Win98 and Favorites not working in Word.
Getting error message 1025 and run-time error.

When I went into Explorer and Windows/Favorites and double clicked on one
of my Word data directories, it opened in Explorer.  So I deleted the
Word data directories in Favorites while in Explorer.  Then I closed
Explorer and opened Word, went to Open a Document, highlighted a data
directory and clicked on Add to Favorites.  Then I clicked on Favorites
and then the newly added directory, and got the same problem.

I hope I've given you enough information and I hope someone can help me.
