Hi Lynn;
In as much as Microsoft is making sure that IE is taking over Netscape
Navigator, my experience indicates that Netscape browser is leaner and
faster. Somehow I also have less problems viewing certain pages,(Not
optimized for either),  with Netscape then with Explorer
As far as download manager - try Download Wonder at
http://www.forty.com/index1.htm.  I believe it's free and it's better then
the others. Has also a database of your downloaded programs and more.
