On my win98 desktop this is a client side registry setting. My IE 5 browser
opens acrobat hyperlinks without prompting me. This is accomplished by
changing the setting in associations. When the browser sees a .pdf it uses
the registry setting for that document association to launch Adobe Acrobat
and open the hyperlink without the dialogue. I don't know of a way to do
that server side. Go to 'my computer,Tools, Folder options,File Types,
advanced' and try clicking 'confirm open after downloading'. I'm not 100%
sure that's the right place, but my .pdf is different there than most of my
other file types.

Hi,
I am creating video tutorials for our seniors computing club using
Camstudio. I have created a small webpage using Frontpage 97 and want to run
the videos from a hyperlink. Currently when I click on a link I get the
dialogue box that gives the option of saving it to disk or running it from
its current location. Is there any way to circumvent this dialogue box and
just have the video run? Using winxp on a P4 1.5 ghz with 512 RAM.
